Happy Birthday Rajinikanth: Rajinikanth is having a lavish birthday celebration today. Take a look back at the occasions when Bollywood stars showered the Kollywood actor with praise.

Cheers to Rajinikanth’s birthday! Superstar Rajinikanth celebrates his birthday on December 12. Rajini will always be the unbeatable Superstar in the eyes of his fans, despite the fact that he may be growing older in real life. After all, who else could shut up a skeptic with the age-old punchline, “En vazhi, thani vazhi! (My way is my own)”? Some kids from the 90s even grew up shattering their sunglasses because they wanted to look like Rajini when they were younger. We can see why Bollywood stars are cheering for the star not too long after!

Rajini, sir, is irreplaceable: Amir Khan

It may not be known to many, but Shankar asked Aamir Khan to be the lead character in Robo 2.0. Not the screenplay, but the actor’s belief that no one else could play Vaseegaran and Chitti was the reason he turned down the role. In a 2017 interview with ETC Bollywood, he said, “Rajini sir felt back then that he wasn’t healthy enough to shoot for the film and suggested that Shankar rope me in.” But when I closed my eyes, the only thing I saw was Rajini Sir playing the role; he’s really special. The screenplay I’ve read indicates that the film will be a big hit.

Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth are like family.

Amitabh discussed Rajini at the IFFI 2019 in Goa; the two had starred together in the 1991 film Hum. Declaring, “I consider Rajinikanth ji to be a member of my family,” he disclosed their equation. We stay in touch and communicate frequently. Every now and then, he asks for advice from me, and vice versa. Amitabh also joked that neither of them follows the advice. Sometimes I tell him not to do something, but he persists in doing it. Still, I’m grateful Rajini’s here with me. You are such a great source of motivation. Coming from such humble beginnings, he was such a modest person. He inspires us every day,” he went on.

I would speak with him about anything I wanted to: Hrithik Roshan

In 1986’s Bhagwaan Dada, Rajinikanth costarred with actor Hrithik as a child. In an interview with a news channel in 2017, Hrithik stated, “When we were filming Bhagwaan Dada, I used to say whatever I wanted to him as if he was my friend.” At the time, he was very understanding and excused many of my words and deeds. I can still clearly remember Rajini Sir saying sorry to me, so that whenever I would make a mistake and the director (my grandfather), would cut the shot, I wouldn’t feel bad about it. I can look back on that with so much affection because he kept my confidence intact.
